Dr. Katherine Saunders, is on a mission to prove that obesity is a complex, chronic disease - her groundbreaking telemedicine company, Intellihealth, is paving the way for innovative medical treatments.

Dr. Katherine H. Saunders is a physician entrepreneur and a leading expert in Obesity Medicine. She is on the cutting edge of effective and compassionate obesity treatment. Dr. Saunders practices at Intellihealth’s clinical services affiliate, Flyte Medical, and she teaches at Weill Cornell Medicine.

Growing up curious and passionate about science, Dr. Katherine Saunders was inspired to pursue medicine. After learning from her mentor, Dr. Louis Arrone about obesity being a disease, she was determined to provide medical treatments to treat obesity. Encouraged by her husband, she started a company  to provide telehealth to treat patients with obesity. She has developed a software program and an app to train healthcare providers to support those with this chronic health condition. Dr. Katherine Saunders has worked hard to make this treatment accessible and affordable for those who need it.
